DeWalt Industrial Grade Steel Rack is designed securely hold cargo weighing up to 1,800 pounds. This steel rack is made from heavy-duty steel and is highly durable. It contains heavy-duty SteelTruss load supports connect rail, cross and leg bars to hold cargo up to 1,800 pounds. This steel rack has dual-center load bars to provide strength and stability to carry up to 40 percent more load than the traditional single bars. It consists of full-length bed rail that utilizes the bed wall capacity and disperses load evenly for added strength with safety. This steel rack includes swing and remove rear bar to permit tall items to be loaded to be loaded easily and conveniently in to the pickup bed. LIMITATIONS Carrier Hitch Vehicle The VH-55 DM carrier is designed to safely carry 600 lbs total, but is limited to only 500 lbs per carrier rail.
Use the Minimum Ground Clearance Chart to determine the minimum ground clearance required to properly load your motorcycle or scooter onto a VH-55 or VH-55 DM carrier when using a VH-55 ramp. Most Class III hitches are rated for 500 lbs.
Most Class IV hitches are rated for 1000 lbs.
Low Hitch: The VersaHaul main tube extends out of the hitch at the same level. Hitches low to the ground will not work properly.
Recessed Hitches will shorten the length of the carrier tube. Your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's capacity to carry a load.
